F. Gilbert Hills State Forest

First visit to F. Gilbert Hills State Forest in Foxborough:

NEMBA characterizes the forest as having 30% difficult trails… I think I ran into the full 30%. Some of the steep rocky descents were a bit much for me, plus the constant hills. Didn’t crash, so maybe it was just the right amount of challenge—and a good reminder that my bike is still way more capable than I am as a rider.

Any day in a forest is great, but I probably won’t be back until my fitness & cardio are a bit better (unless I just stick to the fire roads and doubletrack).
